Connect the app with a Connect code

A Connect code links the Jupo World app on your child's device to the website. You don't need to sign in first.

1. Show the code in the app

1. On your child's phone or tablet, open Jupo World and go to the parent area. You answer a short question meant for grown-ups.
2. Tap Account.
3. Tap Show a Connect code.

The code has 8 letters and numbers, like K7QM-2XRA. It works for 10 minutes. Keep this screen open while you do the next steps.

If the app says "Soon you can connect this family on a computer", connecting is not ready yet. The app tells you when it is. If there is no Account page at all, read My app has no Connect code.

2. Type the code on the website

1. On your computer or another phone, go to Connect a device. You can also choose Have a code from the app? Enter it here on the sign-in page.
2. Type the code. Dashes and spaces are fine.
3. Choose Connect.

3. Approve on your child's device

The app asks: "A browser wants to manage your family. Is this you?"

• Tap Yes, it is me. The website waits on "Check your child's device" until you do.
• If you did not just type the code yourself, tap No, it is not me. That browser then can't use the code.

The website then opens your family.

4. Add a way to sign in

Next, the website offers Add Google, Add Apple or adding your email, so you can come back on any computer without a new code. Read Add a way to sign in.

If you were already signed in

The device joins the family on the account you are signed in with. We may first ask you to confirm it's you with Apple, Google or a link we email you. Then tap Continue on the device, close Jupo World and open it again.

If the device and your account each have their own family with progress, we don't join them on our own. Read You have two Jupo families.

If the code doesn't work

• The code ran out of time. Codes work for 10 minutes. Show a new one in the app.
• The device said no. Make a new code and try again.
• Too many tries. Wait a while, then try again.
• It looks like a gift or offer code. Those go on the redeem page, not here.

Keep your code to yourself

A Connect code is for you only. Never share it with someone you don't know, and tap No, it is not me if the app asks about a browser you don't recognise.
