Cookies and storage

This page lists everything the Jupo World website (jupo.world) stores on your device, why, and for how long. We use no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies, and we never sell what we learn.

Your choice

When you first visit, a banner asks: "Can we count visits to improve the site?" Accept and Decline are equally easy, and "Choose" lets you decide on each group separately. Nothing optional is stored until you say yes.

You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. When you withdraw, we delete the analytics identifier and any remembered partner code straight away.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no to both optional groups and do not show the banner. If you later say yes on the same device, your choice wins.

Strictly necessary (always on)

These keep the site working, so they need no consent:

• jupo.consent.v2 (local storage): your choice about the two optional groups, the date you made it and the version of this page you saw. Kept until you change it or clear this site's data.
• jupo.storePrompt.v1 (local storage): remembers that we already showed you the "get the app" prompt on your phone, so it does not keep appearing.
• __session (cookie): keeps you signed in. It is set only when you sign in, is used only on the sign-in pages and signed-in areas, and cannot be read by the site's scripts. It ends when you close the browser, or after 14 days if you ticked "keep me signed in".
• jupo.my.emailForSignIn (local storage): when you ask for a sign-in link by email, holds the email address you typed, so the link can finish signing you in when you open it in another tab on the same device. It is deleted as soon as the link is used. If you never use the link, it stays until you clear this site's data. If you open the link on another device, we ask for the address again.
• jupo.my.pendingRedirect (session storage): while you sign in with Apple or Google on a phone, remembers which one you chose and whether you ticked "keep me signed in", so sign-in can finish after the redirect. Deleted when sign-in finishes or the tab closes.
• Other short-lived items in session storage while you redeem a code, so the step can finish after a redirect. They are deleted when the step ends or the tab closes.
• jupo.consent.v1 (local storage): the choice made under the website's older banner, if you visited before. We read it once, then delete it when your new choice is saved.

Analytics (off unless you say yes)

If you accept, we use GameAnalytics to count which pages are visited and which buttons are used, for example whether visitors go on to download the app. GameAnalytics keeps a random identifier in your browser's local storage so a repeat visit is counted once. We send page and button names only: never your name, email, account, child's details or any code. The identifier is not linked to your account, not used for ads and not sold.

Partner codes (off unless you say yes)

If you arrive through an ambassador or partner link and say yes, we remember that partner's code on this device for up to 30 days, so the partner is thanked if you subscribe. It is kept as jupo.ref.v1 (local storage), and only then is your visit added to the partner's anonymous daily count. If you say no, the code only travels in the page address and in a "Code applied" box you can see and remove.

Where analytics never runs

Even if you said yes, analytics never runs:

• in the game at play.jupo.world, including classroom mode;
• on any page for children;
• on sign-in pages and in the family, teacher and ambassador areas;
• on pages that handle codes, payments, gifts, account deletion or privacy requests;
• on our Turkish pages.
