What age is the Jupo World app recommended for?
The first version is aimed at preschoolers and primary schoolers, approx. ages 4–8. We are already working on levels targeting older age groups.
How long should a child play with it per day?
10–15 minutes of "mission" time a day is enough. Short, regular play is sufficient to be effective.
Do you need to know how to play chess to start?
No. The game introduces the pieces and rules step-by-step through a story. Children learn to play chess and think along with the story.
What makes the quality of the Jupo World app outstanding?
Our app is built on BELMA award-winning curriculum tested by educators and child psychologists. In an ad-free environment without external links, the child can enjoy learning and adventures undisturbed.
What is the Cognitive Profile Test?
A short online assessment that shows how attention and thinking skills are developing. Research shows that Chess Palace children gained an advantage in all examined areas.
Will I receive feedback on my child’s progress?
Yes, we are working on a feature where, in the future, you will be able to track via a parent dashboard which ‘superpowers’ have developed and which missions to choose next for the children.
Does it work offline?
Yes, so the app can be used while travelling.
Does it support children with special educational needs (SEN)?
Yes. Tasks are available at multiple difficulty levels tailored to the children's knowledge, so the programme has proven successful in inclusive environments as well.
What devices does the app run on?
On iPads, Android tablets and mobile phones (iOS 14/Android 10 or later). For the best experience, we recommend a display larger than 7″.
Is the app free?
The first series of missions is free. Children can try the games and the Jupo World app for free. Full, unlimited content is available with a monthly or annual subscription – this can only be approved by the parent. There are no ads, and no other paid games for children.
When will it be available?
The application is now available on the App Store and Google Play.
